Trend Report: Frolic In The Flowers

This Spring is all about the florals floral prints. Designers  from McQueen to Chanel used floral prints within their designs. Floral isn't all pretty and pink, as seen with both Alexander McQueen and Chanel's usage of the stereotypically delicate fabric. Both designers chose floral prints with dark, rich, floral backgrounds and flowers that gave their designs a hard edge.

Once again designer fashions have trickled itself down to the retail market. I don't know what happened in this little trickle but all the edge is gone and what is left are very delicate and feminine fabrics. Not that i'm complaining....OK I am complaining. I don't have anything personal against floral prints it just gives me flashbacks of 1992 and the show Blossom who's titled character always seemed to wear a floral sun dress paired with tights and a big hat. These are wonderful TV memories of my childhood but I don't want to relive them. My only advise is if you're going to wear a floral fine, but keep it to one floral item. I'm convinced that if you wear a bunch of floral at once it will banish you to 1992 for all of eternity.

You've been warned.
