The Best of Red by Valentino

 Valentino shifted away from his signature red carpet looks and put his romantic since of style in play for his Red brand. What is really lovely about this lookbook is it is consistently feminine, blending beautiful almost Rococo like garments with 60s inspiration. The garments in this lookbook heavily used textures with the popular trend this season lace but the texture with fabric didn't stop there as Valentino utilized sequins, ruffles, and slight uses of tulle to really give an 19th century nod to modern day clothing. Take a closer look at Red by Valentino.

Gant by Michael Bastain

Gant by Michael Bastain is one of my favorite menswear lines and this was from his SS 2011 collection but I couldn't help but share this video you all. The clothes on both muses were beautifully vintage and from doing my homework this line was inspired by Marilyn Monroe and her ex husbands. You can definitely see the bits of inspiration in this video. Enjoy!

Casual Elegance: A Shopbop LookBook

Designer Raoul and Shopbop join forces in a beautifully controlled collection of casual and elegant looks for their 60s inspired lookbook for Spring 2011. Has anyone seen (500) Days of Summer? Great movie on a side note if you haven't seen it, but don't these pieces look as though they came straight out of the love interest's closet? These looks are so womanly and well put together from the simple pleated details to the soft flouncing in the dress and tops. Fashion doesn't always have to be in your face and out there, sometimes pulling back and giving straight up classic, sophisticated look is just what a girl needs in her life.

Prada's S/S Lookbook Is Full Of Real Fantasies
