Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2011 lookbook
I am a huge fan of Diane Von Furstenberg, I adore her play with prints on simple silhouettes. These garments are perfect for the woman who still wants to keep her wardrobe young and fresh but doesn't want to dress like a teenager. Diane Von Furstenberg's lookbook for Spring 2011 ushers in the perfect mix of sophisticated femininity but still keeps it very young and fresh with its vibrant color palette and almost ethnic inspired prints.
The clothes itself stick to the designer's formula of loose and flowing dresses and sportswear. Furstenberg's collection is always heavier on the knits which gives you these beautiful silhouettes and it enables the fabrics to really shape themselves around the body, which as you all know is not only more comfortable but you can really breathe in these clothes.
What I adore most about this lookbook is its versatility, you can wear some of these looks to work as well as the next time you're going out. Oh and I haven't even began to talk about the accessories for this lookbook.
I swear all I need is one of Oprah's paychecks and I would buy everything. From the fringed obi belts (which are very much in this season and will continue to be in trend for Spring 2012) to the to die for bags and clutches. It is no secret I love prints and color and Diane Von Furstenberg delivers with these bags, but if you really want a more subtle look she also offers some amazing solid bags that still are able to make a statement. Overall this is a wonderful collection from a great designer and I look forward to seeing what she has up under her sleeve for next season.
