In Case You Missed It: Peter Jensen
I completely missed his show in London and I kind of wish I hadn't because not only are the clothes cute bits of the 60s and quirkiness but the presentation was completely different. Instead of going the traditional run way route or taking pictures of the clothes in a studio, Peter Jensen choose to photograph his collection in a more organic way. The styling of the photographs were almost as though you were the photographer taking pictures of your friends around town.
The clothes itself were as quirky as the photographs they were in. Featuring bright, fresh lines reminiscent of the 1960s. Of course with anything item of clothing with a 60s vibe there will be color blocking all over the place. This time it wasn't so obvious that it became the main focal point of the clothes. I really appreciated the fact that this line at suiting fit for the 20 something year old. The last thing on earth any 20 something year old wants to do is look like their parents in suits but this collection offered a fresh take on the suit. Another thing I adored were the shoes, patent leather oxfords and soft beige chelsea shoe's were the stand out for me. Over all this collection was a wonderful little treat of happiness.
