Oscars 2011 Fashions- Best Dressed

So...What did you guys think of the show? I actually don't think it was that bad. Was I falling on the floor in laughter the whole time? No, but that was expected. I might be a tad bit bias because Ann Hathaway is my BFF in my head and James..well its James he could just stand there and be hot (which he kind of did) and it would be totally cool. Anyway, this is not what you've come here for and i'm here to deliver. I'm not going to cover all of the red carpet fashion because frankly who the heck cares about some of these people? So i'm sticking to the relevant actors and possibly some of the actors smoking dates. Now on with the fashion!
 Natalie Portman in Rodarte

Best Actress winner Natalie Portman looks gorgeous in Rodarte. I think the color looks wonderful against her skin and it is a simple classic dress for the actress. Natalie is never one to wear over the top to begin with but I think she looks beautiful in this dress. This is a step up for me from her Golden Globes dress.

Camila Alves in Kaufman Franco
oh yeah her boyfriend was there too

Camila is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen! She looks so refined in this Kaufman Fanco Gown. The hair, the earrings were not over the top which brought out her natural beauty and weren't meant to over state the dress. Simply Beautiful.

Hailee Steinfeld in Marchesa

Doesn't she look like a cupcake? THIS is how a teenage girl should dress. Cute and classy not looking like an old hooker. *cough*MileyCyrus*cough* From what I understand. Hailee helped design her dress, adorable.

Jennifer Hudson in Altelier Versace

Welp...I am about to break out the thigh master because Jennifer looks stunning. A lot of people are a little afraid to wear red on the red carpet but she looks gorgeous. I saw her coming out the limo and walking this dress flowed so beautifully. My only complaint is the hair. That wig is off. I can't figure out why exactly I think that if she had a sweeping bang it would have looked a lot better.

Jennifer Lawrence in Calvin Klein

A lot of people didn't seem to like this dress but I thought it was beautiful and fit like a glove. If anyone who has made clothes before fit with some fabrics is a pain in the you know what but it is the most important thing in a garment. This fit her like a glove, if I looked like that at 20 I would walk around like that everywhere, Wal-Mart, work, out to walk the dog, etc. I will admit though from the waist up she looks like a Baywatch babe but outside of that, she looks spectacular.

Amy Adams in L'Wren Scott

Love the dress and the fit on Amy. My only complaint are her accessories. What is that green THING on her neck? If anyone saw the L'Wren fashion show this dress was presented on the runway with this large black oval jewel that really blended with the undertone of the dress. Where the hell did she get green from? And then found a matching watch somewhere. A watch with THAT dress. *long sigh* Amy cookie why are you posing like that? This is not a church fashion show. You know what? Never mind next look.

Mila Kunis in Elie Saab Couture

For some reason this dress didn't photograph as well as I thought it would but live this dress was beautiful! As you can see the lilac color looks beautiful against her skin and the peaking of skin tone though the front of the gown really brought out this dress. Her hair wasn't over the top and she kept her jewelry simple which was perfect because it drew attention to the beauty of this dress.

Best Dressed
Cate Blanchett in Givenchy Haute Couture

Fashionistas were twitter buzzing all over this dress, my self included. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about it but as I kept seeing flashes of her on the screen I fell more in love with it. Walking, this dress floats around her like a dream cloud. The beading on this dress is beautiful and probably cost more than my car. I have a hard time even calling it a dress because it really is a piece of art work  when you look at it. If you can find a blown up imag eof this dress just look at the gentle pin pleats at the bust and the beading details at the waist. You will understand why I picked this as best dressed for the night. P.S. Does Cate Blanchett actually age? She always looks like some sort of goddess when I see her.

Runner Up
Michelle Williams in Chanel Haute Couture

I wish I could blow this picture up a zillion times so you guys could see the detailing in this dress. It looks as though it is a very simple, sleek dress but if you look closely the intricate detailing in this is dress absolutely beautiful. Karl Lagerfield I love you for this one it is simply beautiful and goes so well with her pixie cut which I always love. Who knew Michelle would go from Dawson's Creek to Movie star?
