Sarah Burton Shows Us Why We Still Hail McQueen

Inheriting the company of one of the greatest designers of this this generation is a gargantuan size shoe to fill, but Sarah Burton stayed true to Alexander McQueen's legacy in this Fall collection. One thing that is always loved about McQueen's collections is the amount of detail that does into these garments. You have to remember that this show is fall ready to wear collection but time and time again McQueen's collections give you the detailing and creativity of what most designers could only dream to do in a Couture collection. That is just the standard that is always expected for Alexander McQueen and Mrs. Burton delivered in every way possible. Zippered pleating and slits, subtle roping details, honey comb trims were only some of the beautiful detailing done in these pieces; I saw pieces only because it seems almost silly to call them just " clothes", they are truly masterful pieces of artwork.
