Fall 2011 Eco Fashion: Not Your Burlap Sack

It seems as though people in general and especially big businesses have really started to try and be more eco friendly with everything from cars to laundry detergent. So it was only inevitable that this booming trend would trickle over to the fashion world.

Eco designing in general is not something new, there have been plenty of designers who have made a conscious effort to be less wasteful and more aware of the polyester and plastics materials they are using. The only thing about eco fashion before was that well...if you saw the clothes they were obviously eco friendly (in other words they looked like a dirty potato sack). Now a days eco fashion has developed into an array of different styles from classic and bohemian to ultra modern. With that being said here are some eco friendly examples from designers that are doing their part in saving the planet. Who said you can't save the earth and be fabulous while you're doing it?
