shwryr: Alexis Mabille's Captivating Collection For Fall 2011

I was completely ready to leave this computer behind me for the day and go on about my routine until I caught whiff of Alexis Mabille's Fall collection. I probably could have waited until tomorrow to do this review but after viewing this collection I was so excited and in awe from it that I decided to give a review, hot off the presses. That's dedication damn it and you're welcome!

OK so the overall feel of this collection is old Hollywood glamor meets 1970s movie star on her day off. Mabille uses beautiful flowing fabrics throughout his collection, especially this beautiful paisley print that was used for good bit of his garments. I'm guessing his inspiration might have come from this print because the colors in this particular print was incorporated throughout this whole collection. Deep reds, blues, and oranges regally colored this stunning collection. Tasseled belts and fringed scarves were the main accessory in this collection. If you have been reading this blog you will remember that I mentioned fringe and tassels to be some of the key items for Spring 2012 and it looks as though Mabille got a head start on this trend. I can't say enough at how truly beautiful this collection is, every piece was intricately put together with purpose and it shows how much work and care Alexis Mabille takes to not only create a garment but to create an overall feel and look to his collection.
